Technology and HR..!!

'Innovation is the ability to see change as an opportunity, not a threat' - Steve Jobs
Technology has been playing a major role to change the business world many times over. The advent of computers and the Internet has increased the impact significantly. The use of computer technology has been increased in business environment, including human resources, where technology continues to have a significant impact on HR practices.
Recruiting
Technology had a great impact in the area of recruiting. Before the Internet technology, HR recruiters had to rely on print publications, such as newspapers, for posting the jobs and getting prospects for open positions. Despite of networking, HR recruiters were not able to post a job in one or more locations and have millions of people to see it all at once. Technology has made recruiting more efficient and effective.
Training
Technology enables human resources professionals to train new staff members efficiently.  Accessing company information and training programs from remote locations will eliminate the need for trainers to work directly with new hires. Virtual classrooms training will help HR professionals to train large number of employees and assess their progress through computerized testing programs.
Data Storage and Retrieval
The use of electronic imaging helps to store and retrieve files in an electronic format. Technology also makes it possible for HR professionals to simply print the forms that employees need. On demand printing eliminates the need to dig through number of files to find what is needed.
Performance Management
HR professionals can use computer technology to assess and evaluate employee performance and also get employee feedback for the betterment of organization. Various software programs have been introduced to help HR professionals to examine employee performance using certain metrics to ensure that the employees are meeting performance standards. Additional training or replacement is the other option HR professionals can opt for those employees that don't measure.
Businesses have always faced internal and external challenges. The ongoing war for talent, the employee experience, retention and employee engagement and all other such issues have a significant impact on businesses. Due to increasing requirement for vendors to develop solutions, innovation will create consistent dialogue across all the HR platforms, allowing for a single, consistent voice, hence delivering the sole view of employees, the client, and the business. These solutions will result in efficiencies and will reduce the duplication across multiple areas of the business, which will help management to understand why this development is necessary and reassure them that the upfront investment will save the money in the long term, positively impacting their bottom line.
